Top 3 Beaches On Kauai Island

1. Hanalei Bay Beach

Driving towards North Shore's direction, you can stop at the Hanalei Bay Beach. What makes this bay beach special is the fact that it is less touristy. You will find that more local people go there instead of tourists. The sand is so soft to lay on, picnic, or simply surfers watch! It's a great spot for surfers! Make sure to use GPS as the sign to this beach is not that obvious, perhaps that is why not many tourists stop by this beach. Let's keep it that way!

2. Ke’e Beach

Towards the end of the North Shore, if you are not into hiking the Na Pali Coast Trail, then head over to the Ke'e Beach. This beach is very popular and can get super crowded with tourists. The area is also great for snorkeling. If you want to snorkel there, make sure to take the snorkeling gears with you as there are no rentals for that there. If you just enjoy the beach walk, the long stretch of this white sandy beach is perfect for that and also provides beautiful Na Pali scenery. Parking is a challenge there as it is a very touristy place for Ke'e Beach and the Na Pali Coast trailhead.

3. Poipu Beach

This pristine white sandy beach is located in Poipu, the opposite direction of North Shore. There are many nice resorts out there. The public beach has a small cove that you can swim without getting splashed by the waves too much. Next to it, there's a state park that you can walk to and go tide pooling.
